Where is the County of Cotacachi Situated?

The County of Cotacachi is situated north of Quito, Ecuador´s capital city, in the province of Imbabura.  It is the most extensive of the six counties that make up the province, with a surface area of approximately 1809 km2.


What Townships Make up the Zone of Intag?

The Zone of Intag is made up of the rural municipalities of: Apuela, Plaza Gutiérrez, Peñaherrera, Cuellaje, Vacas Galindo y García Moreno, as well as the township of Selva Alegre, belonging to the county of Otavalo.


How can I get to the Consorcio Toisan?

Please follow the following steps:
1. From Quito (the capital city of Ecuador), you can take a direct bus to Otavalo in the province of Imbabura. (We recommend travelling in Transportes Otavalo or Transportes Lagos, as these will take you directly to the Otavalo bus terminal).
2. From the Otovalan bus terminal, you can travel by bus until the township of Apuela with Transportes Otavalo
3. When you purchase your ticket, be sure to indicate that you will be going only as far as Apuela, as the bus route goes further than Apuela.
4. Finally, once you arrive in the central plaza in Apuela, you can ask a passerby for directions to Consorcio Toisan´s offices
